Eye would like to dedicate this post to Jocob Golden, well freekin' done on a suuuuper preformance on Later With Jools Holland.
Completely beautiful ^_^
Today, was the first day of learning indesign. eye haf poked into using it before so found this session a bit basic and found myself drifting off into a daydream on more than one occasion... we took the text and layouts we had been looking at from the mini brief yesterday and designed a layout. eye still hadn't chosen who eye was going to do mine on so eye randomly picked Vince Frost. My design layout was very simplistic, with a black backgroud. eye had a good old play around with the tracking and kerning! eye will post my screen prints tomoro or something, if eye get a chance...
After spending the morning on indesign, eye spent the afternoon listening to typeradio and picking a designer...
the designers we were given in the 'Visual Communication in Context' brief were as follows: Vince Frost Jay Rutherford Catherine Griffiths Tiffany Wardle Anthon Beeke Thomas Phinney Ellen Lupton Tina Frank Tobias Frere-Jones and Jonathan Hoefler Andreu Balius and Diederik Corvers Erik Spiekermann Stefan Sagmeister Yves Peters Peter Saville Albert-Jan Pool Paulus Dreibholz Clemens Schedler Hans Wolbers Massimo Vignelli Roger Black
after listening two alllll of them and doing a bit of research on each one, eye haf finally chosen Tobias Frere-Jones and Jonathan Hoefler . Their interview was the most interesting ^_^
Eye haf started listening two the interview and transferring it ontwo paper ready two write my own take on it to use in my double spread design.
STILL two do: MORE research for Anna's essay - meeting with her 2moro at 2.15!! flash animation - finish! finish cd design for Pychofags do more to Amelia's live brief - doesn't seem likely :(
